Soya Chunks curry- one of the best curry.Soya when cooked in creamy onion,tomato gravy makes it a perfect pair to go with chapathi,roti.
Soya chunks or meal maker is loved by all because of its chewy texture.Meal maker not only resembles meat in texture it also has higher protein like meat.In our house soya is a favorite among all of us.Some how i missed posting more recipe.Previously it was soya chunks biryani other than that i remember nothing.Next post is going to be soya chunks getti kulambu.Sure you guys will be waiting for the delicious back to back meal maker recipe.

Meal maker gravy step by step picture recipe:
Preparing the soya :
- Keep boiling water and add soya chunks in the water.Keep the bowl covered for 3-4 minutes.Remove the excess water and add fresh water.You can do the above step one more time to get the bad smell out of soya.Squeeze to remove the excess water out.Now the soya is ready to go in gravy you cook.
Gravy/Curry:
- Add oil to tava ,when its hot add ginger and garlic to it.Immediately add onion and saute until the onion turns translucent.Now you can add tomatoes .let the tomatoes get cooked.Add masala's now.Turmeric powder,chili powder,coriander powder and give a quick saute.
- Switch off the flame and add kasuri methi(if you wish) and garam masala.Cool this and grind to smooth paste.This is the gravy for meal maker curry.
- Now in the same pan ,add 1-2 tsp of oil .When its hot add jeera to it.When the jeera aroma comes /it pops add ground masala paste to pan.Let the gravy come to a boil and can leave off any raw smell.Now add chopped soya chunks in the gravy.Again boil it for 5 minutes.
- Soya chunks gravy is ready.Pair it with roti,chapathi,phulka.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup soya
- 2 medium size onion.
- 1 plum + 1/2 country tomato.
- 1 slit green chili.
- 3/4 tsp coriander powder/malli thool.
- 1/2 tsp chili powder.
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
- 1/8 tsp turmeric powder.
- 1/4 tsp garam masala.
- few methi leaves.
How i cooked Soya Chunks Curry:
Preparing the soya :
- Boil water and add soya chunks to it.

- Remover peels of ginger and garlic and chop them in to chunks as well.
- Keep the pan ready,add oil to it.When the pan is hot add ginger ,garlic to it.
- Immediately add onion and saute until the onion turns translucent.
- Now you can add tomatoes .let the tomatoes get cooked well.
- Add masala's one by one.Turmeric powder,chili powder,coriander powder and give a quick saute.
- Switch off the stove and add kasuri methi(if you wish) and garam masala.
- Cool and grind the onion.tomato gravy to smooth paste.
- Now in the same pan ,add 1-2 tsp of oil .When its hot, add jeera to it.
