Ragi roti a nutritious and easy breakfast option.Ragi millet, i like the most among others.Finger millet is called by keppai in Tamil, but many know it as only ragi.
Millet's has got more health benefits.Got to repeat some of it here for new readers.Ragi got popular because it has highest calcium and potassium. Its best for people who are on diet. Its rich calcium content helps to maintain bone health.Finger millet helps in reducing sugar level, cholesterol etc like any other Millet's.Ragi has got natural iron content and it is absorbed by body when its sprouted. So eat sprouted ragi to get more benefits.Check some more ragi like ragi kozhukattai, ragi idli, ragi idiyappam,ragi-oats dosa.
There is no hard and fast rule for the add-ons, you can add grated carrots, finely chopped cabbage or what ever your kids like.I just added onions and coriander leaves.Ragi roti is very filling and very nutritious breakfast option. You can pair this with any chutney ,but i prefer some tangy chutney like tomato chutney or carrot chutney.
