Avocado Paratha | Paratha Recipes | Healthy Dinner Ideas

       Avocado paratha a softy soft green paratha made with mashed ripe avocado.Paratha is a Indian flat bread prepared with whole wheat flour and spices.Sometime people complaint about chapathi not being soft and look for alternatives like milk ,hot water to make it soft.

       Avocado is a healthier alternative too.You might be thinking can i cook avocados,will the nutrition be lost ? I browsed to find that they can be cooked in low fire without loosing nutrition. I love making guacamole for our evening chips.If you want to make sandwich then make a creamy dip.

Step by step picture recipe for making avocado flat bread recipe:



  • Mash the avocados very well . Run it in mixer if its not ripe.Add all the masala powders to the mashed avocado.Mix it well.

  • Add wheat flour to the bowl as well and give a mix.No need of any water.In case if you are not able to mix add only 1 tbsp and see if its enough after mixing very well.Knead to form a Soft dough.
  • You can start preparing the parathas immediately.Otherwise rest it for sometime like up to 30 minutes.

  • Roll to thin or thick parathas according to your wish.Heat a roti tava.When its hot add the rolled dough to it.When the color changes flip it ,add oil to both sides.After cooking both the sides serve hot or warm.

    • 1/2 tsp chili powder.
    • 1/2 tsp coriander powder.
    • 1/2 tsp jeera/cumin.
    • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder.

    Tips:
    • Choose a ripe avocado to get a soft chapathi.In case if you don't have very ripe one ,chop it and run it in mixer to get them creamy.
    • Don't add more water,the water from avocado is enough.In case if you need add very little like 1 tbsp at a time.
