Its a vegetable looks similar to cauliflower .I cook them similar to cauliflower as well.I had tried making pepper fry and masala with it.This is a much easier version of the masala made especially for the filling..

- Wash broccoli in fresh water and cut them in to little florets.tomato.Chop garlic,ginger,onion and tomato and keep it ready.
- In a wide pan add oil.When its hot add mustard seeds.When the mustard seeds splutter,add jeera ,urad dal and curry leaves..
- Now add onion and slit green chili and saute for a while.Add chopped and ginger pieces as well and saute until onions are translucent.Now tomatoes can be added to the pan.Let it cook until it turns mushy.Add washed florets ,required salt ,turmeric powder and let it cook for 3-4 minutes in low fire.Florets will get cooked very fast.Add garam masala and switch off the flame.
- Now the delicious masala is ready.Make dosa while the tava is hot .
- When its almost cooked add the masala and half fold the dosa.
- Serve it immediately with side dish of your choice .There is no need of any side dish for this.

- 1 inch ginger.
- 1/2 onion.
- 1/2 tomato.
- little garam masala.
- 3 green chilies slit.
- 1/8 tsp turmeric powder.
To temper:
- 1 tbsp oil.
- 1/8 tsp mustard seeds/kadugu.
- 1/8 tsp jeera /cumin seeds/jeeragam.
- 1/8 tsp urad dal/ulutham paruppu.
- few curry leaves.

ReplyDeleteI like the way the traditional recipe of masala dosa has been tweeked with the addition of brocolli. Dosas are healthy fermented glutenfree food and combining brocolli with it has only made it more healthy! Yum.
