Bengali Pineapple Chutney | Sweet and Spicy Pineapple Chutney

Pineapple chutney a sweet and spicy chutney famous in Bengali cuisine.I don't know much about their cuisine, but came across many recipe calls for panch phoron as a spice. So i can say one variedly  used spice in bengali cuisine is panch phoron .'panch' means 5 , 'phoron' means spice.so the powder is a mix of five seeds like Mustard/rai,jeera,fennel/saunf,nigella/kalaunji and fenugreek/methi daana.Usually panch phoron is added to ghee /oil that makes the oil aromatic and give the dish a special taste.

Easy mexican recipes/Pineapple salsa/Pineapple juice

Pineapple is a wonderful fruit with an amazing sweet and sour taste. We eat our pineapple as  is or with little chili powder and salt. I have always felt that adding salt and a little chili powder brightens the taste of the pineapple.

Pineapple is a tropical fruit and I have read that Mexico is the largest producer of pineapple.
I love mexican food. We live close to a hispanic neighbourhood and the mexican cusine here is amazing. We are lucky to have a bunch of good hispanics restaurants and grocery stores here. The other day I brought a whole pineapple and half of it was left over. I had this idea of making a pineapple salsa. Salsa is versatile condiment you can use it as a dip or as a topping for main courses or just as a side dish. Enjoy this yummy pinepple salsa.

PineApple Rasam

Rasam is a watery soup served as an appetizer. In South India people eat Rasam Sadham as second course for lunch. I usually make Rasam once a week.

In Regular Rasam Tamarind is used to provide the tangy taste. This recipe uses pineapple instead
of  tamarind. It reminds me of the sweet and sour dishes that you get in Chinese restaurants.

This week I brought a pineapple, and had some of it left over. I thought I would make Pineapple Rasam today. In Chettinad Marriages Pineapple Rasam is served as a special dish. Its a tasty variation to regular Rasam.
