Bengali Pineapple Chutney | Sweet and Spicy Pineapple Chutney
Pineapple chutney a sweet and spicy chutney famous in Bengali cuisine.I don't know much about their cuisine, but came across many recipe calls for panch phoron as a spice. So i can say one variedly used spice in bengali cuisine is panch phoron .'panch' means 5 , 'phoron' means spice.so the powder is a mix of five seeds like Mustard/rai,jeera,fennel/saunf,nigella/kalaunji and fenugreek/methi daana.Usually panch phoron is added to ghee /oil that makes the oil aromatic and give the dish a special taste.

Paneer Pulao Recipe | Red Pepper Paneer Pulao | Pressure Cooker Recipes
Paneer pulao a spicy pulao made with paneer ,rice and spices. Indian cottage cheese is a favorite of most Indians including kids. Its chewable texture makes it the most favorite like soya chunks.Instead of doing curry with cottage cheese making the main course like pulao will make the meal entirely different. To make the pulao extra yummy ,paneer has to be little firm so that there will be a bite otherwise the taste will be like regular rice.

Vada Pav Recipe|Wada Pav
Vada pav is an elegant snack from mumbai road side. Its one of the most popular vegetarian fast food dish in mumbai and Maharashtra. I never tasted vada pav's. My better half did and he was crazy about it.When we had vada pav in Bangalore ,he used to say these never come close to mumbai vada pav. I liked the pav there but my thinking was" it must be so yummy then?".
I love pani puri, bhel chat, pav bhaji, aloo bonda all the famous north Indian snack items and tried at home. I wanted to try vada pav too for so long but kept postponing it because it is a deep fried snack. I keep a rule like once in two weeks or once in 10 days I make a deep fried snack. We usually have poori on Saturday so vada pav took so long .
One Friday I did pav buns, i wanted to make breakfast with them the next day then i thought about making vada pav. I served the pav with garlic chutney tarladalal suggested. This recipe is from tarladalal.
If you are looking for a quick snack mumbai style snack check masala pav.

Gujarati Kadhi|Side Dish For Roti
Gujarati kadhi-is a yogurt based sweet and spicy curry with chickpea flour along with spices and tempered with ghee. Its an authentic Gujarati preparation served along with phulkhas, roti, kichdi etc.Even though there are varieties of kadhi's like Punjabi kadhi, rajathani kadhi. This Gujarati kadhi has it unique flavours and taste. If you have some leftover curd or at times when there is no vegetable available this Gujarati kadhi comes to rescue..
My landlord is Gujarati and she makes many yummy Gujarati dishes, i never tried to make any of them..few days back when i wanted to make something with homemade curd which got little curdled not smooth, i thought about making this kadhi. This recipe is adapted from tarladalal but altered to our taste buds..
This Gujarati kadhi is the base of any other kadhi recipe like kadhi pakora, kadhi bhindi, methi kadhi etc. This kadhi resembles few of the south Indian dishes like Moru curry a yogurt based curry
with ground coconut and spices and a andhra yogurt curry menthi majjiga which is a tempered yogurt gravy.I love both these south Indian curries alike when it comes to rice. This Gujarati kadhi we had with methi thepla, its the best combo ever..If you want to have it for rice add more green chilies and avoid adding sugar to it.You should think of adding red chilies too while tempering.
Believe me its so tasty and will be ready in just 15-20 minutes.
