Soya Burgers Recipe | Vegetarian Kheema Cutlets | Nutrela Patties

Soya Burgers a delicious cutlet made with soya kheema. I used nutrela soya granules for making this healthy snack. Its the best vegetarian protein apart from lentils.I am calling it Indian version of cutlets as i added  chili powder ,coriander powder as the spice instead of pepper powder.      These spices  makes the  plain soya granules taste delicious.I added  fresh coriander leaves as well.

Nutritious BreakFast/Sprouts-Bean Patties

I love patties a lot because they are nutritious, delicious (fibre, iron ,vitamins etc),easy to make and good to store in refrigerator for sometime .This Sprouts-Bean patty is one such Nutritious Breakfast .At  lazy mornings you can just get them out of refrigerator and heat it in oven/stove and have it with bread .When your  kids are hungry ,this is the best nutritious breakfast they will have.
Adding of breadcrumbs give a crunch to the outer layer of the patties. If you don't have crumbs its fine to omit it as well .You can bake Cutlets in oven if you wish or just searing them will give a perfect texture to the patties .

My love for patties got extended with other patty recipes like
  1. Sweet potato Patty
  2. Potato patty
  3. Black bean patty

Sweetpotato patty/Sakaravalli Cutlet without breadcrumbs and less oil

Patty the name itself tells that its well patted (in tamil we call it as "thatti ").Patties are a great way to start the day as it is easy to put together and can be eaten as it is as a snack or for breakfast .If you have a toddler at home giving them sweetpotato is very much needed as it has lots of fiber and nutritions like vitamin A in abundance which helps in eye health.
Combining sweetpotato with potato will reduce the sweetness  and adding  spice powder(chili powder) can satisfy your palates if you are a spice lover, yet couldn't take idly/dosa with sambhar/chutneys at morning time. You can prepare this and store it in refrigerator for 4-5  days. when the next time you are hungry take one and heat it and there you go .So ready shall we start ?
Little suggestion .If you are serving for your kids you may want to avoid chilipowder and green chili .Just add little pepper so it gets easily digested .This has less calaories than breadcrumbs filled paties so indulge in goodness .

BlackBean Patty/BlackBean Cutlets

Black bean is a staple mexican legume. It has many benefits like other legumes, good protein-fiber combination. One cup of black bean gives more than half of the required protein-fiber combination according to whfoods. Its helps to maintain blood sugar levels and also helps the cardiovascular system.

Us mom's  prefer easy and healthy breakfast dishes. If you want to have a healthy breakfast/snack other than sundal (boiled legumes) try this. This Patty can be eaten as a snack/breakfast along with chutney /hot sauce of your choice along with fresh veggies like lettuce, spinach. Got some more patties left ?You can store them in your fridge to eat as a snack.
I used only black beans you can add potatoes instead of breadcrumbs for binding the beans. You can add hot sauce or cayenne pepper instead of red chili powder. For potato patties check here

Looking for chutneys or dips ? Mint cilantro chutney,Beetroot chutney,Carrot chutney

Preparation time:5 min+8 hours(soaking the beans)
Cooking time:30-40 min
Yields:8-9 large patties of your plam size

Grilled Potato Patty / Potato Cutlet

This week I brought a whole loaf of wheat bread. My husband was super busy with a deadline and he wanted to leave early to work and I wanted to make a quick and easy breakfast. Potato patty came to my mind almost instantly, its quick and easy and is very filling too. Its grilled and not deep fried so its healthy too. This patty uses black pepper and hot sauce instead of chili powder which gives a different taste to your patty.
