Bread Pakora Recipe | Bread Bajji | South Indian Breakfast

Bread Bajji/Bread pakora the very easiest snack. To make bread bajji is not difficult ,mix besan, rice flour, spice and salt.dip bread ,shallow fry or deep fry.I shallow fried them.So i can eat them as much as i like.
No veggies needed to make bajji's,you can use the leftover breads to make a nutritious snack for kids. This can be a quick fix too when you have sudden guest at home.My mom do it whenever we have guest. Not only guest we too love to munch these beauties along with hot tea.
You can substitute white bread with any other bread. My guess is ,the bread pakoras will not be too soft .At the end of post i included a simple breakfast platter considering guest or for a best breakfast for yourself and family.

  • Cut the bread in triangles or shapes you like(for cutting the bread in other shapes you have to toast the bread).
  • Dip in besan batter.Don't press the bread too much,it changes shape.
  • Heat dosa tava or non-stick tava .Add oil to bottom.
  • Place the pakoras in medium heat.By the time you put 4 bajji's.You can flip the first one you added.Apply more oil to the bottom.
  • When you see no raw batter left.Take it out.
  • Bread pakora/bajji is ready to serve.

Note:
  • Use bread knife to cut the breads.Otherwise the bread loses the shape.
  • Dip the batter evenly. This is kind of little difficult, but makes the bread cook even when you shallow fry them.
  • Adding hot oil to the batter makes the pakoras crisp.
  • Use less water makes the bread hold its shape when shallow frying, while deep frying it makes the bread absorb less oil.
  • While deep frying the oil has to be hot, otherwise you can see more oil on your bread pakoras.
