     Corn Cheese Sandwich /Corn Sandwich /Cheese sandwich is a easy ,delicious and healthy snack option for kids.To make the sandwich healthy you can use multi grain or whole wheat bread.

       Bread peeks in very rare at my home .Sometimes i make whole wheat bread and some cutlet along with chutney for breakfast also i make peanut butter banana sandwich. lunchbox have sandwiches once in a while, that too with only cheese.When it comes to after school snack ,I keep murukku or mixture.This time i wanted to do something different than our regular bread menu,so added  corn to regular cheese sandwich.It was cheesy,filling ,very different and of course healthy.

    Making of corn cheese sandwich is so easy.Grate the corn ,saute and mix with some spice of your choice ,add in some cheese and fill in the bread.If you feel the sandwich is too dry you can add some chutney as well.

Step by Step Picture of making Corn Cheese Sandwich a easy sandwich recipe:
  • Peel the corn ,Wash it off and grate it from the cob.

  • Add oil to tava.

  • When the oil is hot,add grated corn to it.

  • When the corn changes color (1-2 minutes), add required salt and pepper.

  • Switch it off and keep it aside.
  • Toasting: I toasted the bread in dosa tava,while toasting i added ghee as well.

  •  When the bottom side is done ,flip the bread .Add saute corn and cheese.

  • Close with other bread.Cover it with a lid and keep the flame low.
  • When the cheese is melted( a minute ) .Cheese corn Sandwich is ready to enjoy.

 Cook time:5 minutesTotal Time: 10 minutes


Ingredients:
  •  1 corn (around 1/2 cup grated).
  • 1 tbsp oil. 
  • 1 tbsp ghee.
  • pepper jeera powder(to taste).
  • Salt to taste.
  • 2 tbsp grated cheese (i used 5 cheese blend).
  • 4 Wheat Bread/Regular bread.
Method:
  • Peel the corn ,Wash it off and grate it from the cob.
  • Add oil to tava.when the oil is hot,add grated corn to it.
  • When the corn changes color (1-2 minutes) add required salt and pepper as well to the pan.
  • Switch it off and keep it aside.
  • I toasted the bread in dosa tava,while toasting add ghee as well.
  • Now when the bottom side is done ,flip the bread add saute corn and cheese.
  • Close it with other bread.Cover the bread and keep the flame low.
  • When the cheese is melted( a minute ),cut them in half or any desired shape.
  • Corn cheese sandwich is ready.Serve it for breakfast /snack or it can make a quick lunch.
