Quinoa Dosa | South Indian Breakfast Recipes | Quinoa Indian Recipes

Quinoa dosa - a south Indian dosai made with rice ,urad dal and quinoa.Quinoa a very healthy grain like other Millet's.I love quinoa because of its high fiber and iron content.I never get a chance to cook with it.I use it very rare, once i made quinoa adai which is a hit at my home. I even  tried quinoa salad that time i overcooked quinoa, phew !!! Then i thought  ,why not make only Indian recipes with quinoa. So i made this wonderful ,tasty quinoa dosai.

Our family like dosai more than idli. I make different dosa  .Dosa is nothing but a south Indian crepe made with rice and urad dal as the main ingredients.Normally dosa needs fermentation to get the rich taste.
I make different kinds -stuffed one's like vegetable masala, masala or will add lentils and make dosa like pesarattu ,adai or  make dosa batter different like with millet, fenugreek seeds or even tomato.Even i make instant variety like rava ,wheat ,Ragi oats .

In this recipe ,adding of quinoa made the dosa very soft and more fibrous. It is so tasty ,little sweet and soft .My husband never believed it was made out of quinoa. For a crispy dosai ,you need to add some raw rice/rice flour instead of boiled rice or reduce the urad dal quantity.Even you can do half boiled and half raw rice. What ever variety you make ,the batter can last 2-3 times .That's a easy and nutritious breakfast or dinner. With chutney or sambar dosai is one of the earth's heavenly foods.
