Cheerios avacado cake/Eggless butterless cupcake/Cocoa cheerios cupcake

Valentines day wishes to all readers. I hope all of you enjoyed valentines with your sweet hearts.This year is not like any other years valentines day because I have learnt to bake. I decided to do bake a cake.So I did this cake to my dearies and they loved it ..
Original recipe is not up to the mark and I made several changes that suited me like avocados,whole wheat flour,sugar .

For other simple bake recipes like christmas cake,banana oats muffin.


Preparation time:10 min
Baking time:30 min
Yields:9 cakes



Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup +2 tbsp cheerios.
  • 1/2 cup+2 tbsp avocado mashed.
  • 1 1/4 cup whole wheat flour.
  • A pinch of salt.
  • 1/4 cup +2 tbsp cocoa powder(8 oz).
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence.
  • 1 cup water.
  • 1 tbsp baking powder.
  • 1/2 sugar(brown sugar).


Method:

  • Mash the avocado well to form a paste.
  • Crush the cheerios to a fine powder (using mixer).
  • Mix all the dry ingredients whole wheat flour,baking powder,sugar ,cocoa powder and salt together 
  • Combine avocado paste ,vanilla essence together .
  • Mix dry ingredients(wheat flour mixture) to wet ingredients(avocado mixture) .
  • Mix  water little by little so that you get a watery mix .
  • Add this mixture to the cake mold until 3/4 of the mold (because cake will rise ).
  • Bake it in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until the tooth pick comes out clean .

  • Super moist healthy cupcake is ready for your sweeties .Enjoy baking ...
  • I added little chocolate frosting for my daughter because she loves sugar ...



Note:

  • You can substitute avocado with the ingredients available at your home, even yogurt will help .Add  same amount of yogurt to substitute avocado.If you want to check for other substitutes check here .
  • Cake will be very moist in-spite of no egg and no butter.
  • First day you may smell the avocados but the next day it will be like any other cupcake .
  • Substitute whole wheat flour with white flour if you want a different taste .
  • I reduced the amount of sugar in to the cake. Increase to 3/4 cup if you want a little sweeter cake .
  • You can bake  it in cake pan instead of cupcake mold.
  • You can bake it in pressure cooker, next time I will update the pressure cooker method.
  • My mixture was thick hence so you see the cracks in cake. In spite of this it was moist .
  • You can add more water if you want to avoid cracks.
