Besan Ladoo recipe - a simple ,quick and delicious ladoo made for most festivals in India.'Besan' is chickpea flour and 'ladoo' is nothing but a ball.Ghee adds a lot of texture,smell and flavor to the sweet along with cardamom pod.Adding roasted nuts make a crunchy bite inbetween.Over all, a real quick deliciousness.

I made this ladoo for today and offered to god krishna.happy janmashtami .Jai sri krishna !!!
This ladoo suits any occasion - birthday,party,snack,lunch box ,get together.You can easily double or triple the recipe to make a large batch.
You have 5 minutes and microwave ? then you are all set.If you have more time, You can also try Traditional boondi ladoo and maavu urundai.

Step by Step picture recipe for making besan ladoo recipe:
- Add ghee to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds(ghee should be runny).Add sooji ,besan to ghee and mix thoroughly.
- Microwave for 3 minutes by resting every one minute.Add cashew,cardamom pod at 3 rd minute.Make sure you get a crumbly mixture everytime after microwave.
- Be careful while removing the microwave safe bowl.It will be very hot.Check if the besan has changed color from yellow to brown.Give a stir and cool the mixture thorough.After cooling add sugar (confectionery or fine sugar).Start Making ladoo by pressing with thumb (gives a perfect shape).
- Ladoo is ready.

- 1 tbsp sooji/rava
- 1/4 cup ghee
- 1/2 cup sugar(finer or little coarse)
- 1 cardamom pod crushed.
- 7-8 cashews broken.
- Add ghee to a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds(ghee should be runny).
- Add sooji ,besan to ghee and mix thoroughly.
- Microwave for 3 minutes by resting every one minute.
- Add cashew,cardamom pod at 3 rd minute.
- Be careful while removing the microwave bowl.It will be very hot.Check if the besan color changed from yellow to brown.
- Give a stir and cool the mixture thorough.
- After cooling, add sugar to besan mix.
- Start Making ladoo. Pressing with thumb gives a perfect shape.
- Besan ladoo is ready.Enjoy !!!
- Add the ghee quantity mentioned to taste the real delicious ladoo.
- The besan has to turn brown or you should not smell anything raw before you cool the mix.
- Check besan every minute ,otherwise you may burn the ladoo mixture.
- You can add any other chopped nuts instead of cashew.
- Every time make sure that you reach crumbly texture.If you like soft besan ka ladoo then add more ghee and avoid sooji/rava.

Yes microwave butter until it melts .Not sure about dates monu , the ladoo taste less sweet if you do only chopping ,may be try adding dates after soaking and grinding.also let me know after you have done it .Thank dear
