The other day I came across fresh Green Channa in our Indian Grocery Store. I have heard and read about green channa but never used it before. I brought some and used them as stuffing for parathas. It came out good. You can try this with regular channa as well.Enjoy

Method:
- Prepare the paratha dough by kneading the wheat flour, salt together with required water.
- Finely chop the onions.
- Cook the Green Channa and Green Peas until they turn soft.
- I cooked them in a pressure cooker for 2 whistles.
- Mash the cooked Channa and Peas into a fine paste.
- Add Garam Masala,Turmeric, finely chopped onions to the mixture and set it aside.
- Make small ball out of wheat flour and place the stuffing in and cover it.
- Pat it with dry wheat flour and roll it into circular parathas. .
- In a hot griddle pan / tava add some oil and place the paratha in it.
- When you see bubbles rise on the surface of the paratha flip it.
- Cook it for 2-3 minutes on the other side.
- Green channa roti is ready to be served with raitha or yoghurt of your choice.
Note:
- Cook the Channa well and mash them thoroughly so that you get even paraths.
- When it is stuffing is watery add mashed potatoes .
